Terry Ryan, CPDT-KA*

Terry Ryan, President, has been a dog training class instructor since 1968. Through Legacy, Terry teaches pet dog classes, writes books, presents national and international seminars and workshops, hosts interns, consults. She was the Coordinator of the People-Pet Partnership, College of Veterinary Medicine, Washington State University from 1981 until 1994. Terry was a competitor and American Kennel Club judge. She’s on the American Humane Society’s advisory board for humane dog training. Terry and her husband, Bill, live in Sequim with their English Cocker Spaniel, Brody. Bill Ryan, CPDT-KA*

Bill Ryan, Vice President, started his dog training career as a search and rescue dog handler. He has taught dog training classes since 1973. Bill is a CPDT-KA* and works both as an instructor and administrator for Legacy.

Betty Kaczynski

Betty Kaczynski is on the instruction staff of Legacy. Since 2005, Betty provides significant logistics support to Legacy’s various endeavors. Betty is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and is working toward her CPDT*. Betty is from the field of education, working as a children's teacher, administrator and college instructor. Betty and her husband, Skip, live in Sequim with their Border Terriers, Bonnie and Zinger.

Daniel Fink
Daniel Fink is support staff. He has provided a wide variety of logistical tasks for Legacy since 2006. When not attending school, 4-H activities, playing music or practicing juggling, Daniel finds time to participate in Legacy workshops and classes with his dogs Holly and Shadow.

Elaine Diedrich, CPDT-KA*

Elaine Diedrich is on the instruction staff of Legacy and has been associated with us since 1998. She has been training dogs for 45 years beginning with her family Bassett Hound. Elaine is a CPDT-KA*. She participates in a very wide variety of pet-oriented and competitive dog activities. Elaine is the past president of WAG (Welfare for Animals Guild), a fostering group for rescued dogs. She has been a 4-H dog project leader since 2000. Elaine and her husband, Bill, live in the foothills with their four dogs.

Jenni Dix , CPDT-KA*

Jenni Dix, on the instruction staff of Legacy, has over 30 years of experience working with animals. She is an accomplished agility competitor. She has been associated with Legacy since 1998, most recently as Program Manager and Training Center Director. Jenni teaches some of the seminar coursework and edits Legacy publications with Terry. She is a CPDT-KA*. Jenni lives in Sequim with her husband Tim and their dog Cinder.

Kitara Pace

Kitara Pace is support staff. She has provided a wide variety of logistical tasks for Legacy since 2008 including office work. When not attending school or 4-H activities, she finds time to participate in Legacy workshops and classes with her dog Daisy and various other rescued dogs.

Pamela Kaye
Pamela Kaye joined the Legacy instruction staff in 2011. Her canine training and performance experience began in 1991 including involvement in agility, obedience, flyball, tracking, stock dog, freestyle, therapy work and rally. Pam is a North America Dog Agility Council judge and has completed their instructor program.She and her husband Richard recently moved to Sequim from Montana with their four dogs.
